I have also noticed other 2008 GMC Acadia owners with the same safety issue: Service Stabilitrak; Reduced Engine Power. When this happens, my car literally shakes and there's loss of control of the car! In my personal opinion, this is a safety issue and there needs to be a recall, at the very least! I've heard everything from it could be a throttle body issue, to change your oil?? All I can say to GM is that they better be darn glad that I wasn't traveling at a high rate of speed (when it first happened--and it has happened on several occasions) and that I was the only one in my car. If it happens when my children are in the car, God have mercy on your soul.
Recall this now, before someone is seriously injured. Oh, one more thing: I have sent "messages" to GM via Facebook and they didn't offer to help at all. They offered to make a phone call to have my car brought in for service. Really?? Thanks, but I'm fairly certain I know how to pick up a phone and make the call myself.
