The headlight assembly's are melted and headlights don't work. Seems this is an ongoing problem with GMC headlights in years past that they continue to not address. I am furious that despite reports and recalls on this issue from many years and many makes and models they have not addressed and continue to avoid recalling all vehicles with this garbage headlight assembly, that causes headlights to fail and increases risk of car fire. I want this repaired by this garbage company and something done to make them stop utilizing these unsafe and faulty assemblies.

My low beam head lights keep blowing over the past two years, I have had to replace them 5 times on the driver side and 2 times on the passenger size. Also had my head light harness replaced Oct due the blub breaking in multiple pieces. Jan of 2019, it rained and my turning signal blub broke again and the lighting component filled up with water and looked like a floating fish bowl.

I have had to replace the headlight bulb and the day light bulbs 4 times since January. Each time I replace one the other goes out and it does't last longer than a few weeks. This is very dangerous and stressful as the headlights went out on me as I was driving home two nights ago and the road that I take to get home is very dark. Also, I had to replace the multi function switch (windshield wiper switch due to it only working on high speed) in January. I've noticed multiple people with the same complaints. Please fix this problem as buying bulbs are becoming expensive as well as the time it takes to get them replaced can be lengthy.

I have had to replace my low beam headlights either the driver or passenger side every week for the last month. There was a special coverage adjustment #14823 released by GM on May 12, 2015 and I was told by GMC I needed to make a complaint to try to be eligible for special coverage. There is clearly an issue here and definitely a safety problem. I can't see having to spend over $1000 to replace the headlamp assemblies for a known problem

Sept. 3, 2014-running light was out on passenger side. I had taken the car to dealer to do recall on seat belts. Had bulb put in which costs $73.13. Returned to dealer on Nov 4, 2014 for service, oil change, etc. Light was out again. Tech said he had to order socket- it was shorted out. Went back to dealer following week on fri. Was then told they would have to replace entire headlight assembly due to melting of interior of light. Tech said it was $1000 to replace. I told him that no I would not pay for this since it was not my problem but a GMC design and parts defect. He asked if I would pay $100 which I agreed to. Upon further examination of other headlight we found that one was also in process of failing as well. Dealer said they would replace both headlights. This was done Nov 12, 2014. So far so good.

I have been having problems with my vehicle for a while now. The car will cut off in traffic I have gotten stuck in the seatbelt as well as today while I am trying to make a left the car would not accelerate as I was hitting the gas pedal I could have been killed. I have taken my vehicle to [xxx] on another occasion because I had just left the gas station filling the tank up I got in the truck pulled out of the gas station and the gas gauge started going up and down my overhead lights came on and the car just died out in 45 mph traffic I took it in and all they keep telling me is if they can't duplicate the problem they can not help me how is this safe number one number two I do not know when the vehicle is going to cut off. I have had the speedometer just go up and down as I'm driving as well as the radio would just start to shift from auxiliary to cd to radio without ever being touched. If I hit a pothole lights start flashing this is unacceptable. But I'm being told there is nothing that can be done because they can't replicate the problem how is this on my shoulders I'm paying for an extended warranty that is not worth the paper it's printed on. It has to be an electrical short or something they just do not want to repair. But I can not keep putting my families lives in danger driving this vehicle because they say they can not replicate the problem. This is dangerous and GMC will not help.
