Acadia Denali 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 180,000 miles

The transmission problem has been constant from about 120000 miles, but only from the starting position. Now the problem occurs shifting from all gears, and sticks constantly. I would not recommend this vehicle based upon the price of the vehicle as it has numerous issues.

Acadia SLT 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

This car is a giant POS. This is one of many issues. But the Transmission takes the cake. At first we though it was the TCM so it was replaced. Problem was, that fixed part of the problem and made other things worse. Complete rebuild. I wouldn't by another GMC if it was given to me for free and a promise of $200,000,000 to drive it for a year.

Acadia SLT 3.2L

Complete overhauling was done. Agency maintenance was carried out through out the 150000km, but even than it was not helpful.

I just this got this vehicle on the 10th of August. Already the brake pedal squeaks when I engage it, it was taken to the dealer and they said they could not find anything wrong with it. They put some oil on it to see if that fixes the problem and it did not. Every time I try to accelerate the vehicle jerks with no warning signs. No lights have come on to indicate a problem. I am so disappointed with this vehicle, I thought when you purchase a used vehicle they are GMC certified. But it seems this a problem with these particular models, I have seen multiple complaints regarding this same problem and I am wondering why there has not been a recall. It makes you wonder if GMC is building dependable cars.

Acadia Denali 3.6L Sid V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

Purchased new on 4-12-2013. While driving my normal daily chores for the next few days, I noticed that it seemed to be holding back, like when driving on the highway with cruise control on and you start down a hill the transmission holds you back to stay at the same speed. This was happening in town at 30 to 40 mph and the cruise control off. Told the service dept. at GMC. I was leaving for a trip to Vegas on Sat. 4-20 so I was told to check in after I returned. They drove it and said all was normal. I called GMC customer relations in Detroit, I assume and was told there was a recall number 13120. I took it to the dealer and told them. They supposedly reprogrammed the computer. I really couldn't tell that it made any difference. Called GMC back and reported same to Katherine, for case #71-1197570091.After a trip to Montana, then a trip to Florida it was still the same and is now still the same after 22,000 plus miles. That is after a trip to Ohio then San Diego, Then Atlantic City, New Jersey. I hope it blows up on my trip to Atlanta ,Georgia next week and then maybe they will believe something is wrong. I am 77 years old and have driven over a million miles and I do know when something is not right.
