Was backing up on a driveway and was next to a car and apparently was closer than I thought and hit the car because my side detection system is not operating and no sensors or warning sounds went off. 'service side detection system' is on my dash.

The steering two days prior to the incident was really tight and hard to steer as is there were no power steering the vehicle two days later broke down on the interstate I went from 70mph to 30mph within seconds was almost rear ended the seat belt jerked my shoulder it jerked so hard when the engine reduced power due to what the message on the dash said was a traction control system failure I spent 1600 getting the power steering pump, water pump and what they said was a loose wire causing th traction control problem fixed just for the car to break down again with the same traction control system failure message the car slowed down so quickly I hit the steering wheel with my seat belt on and the breaks were very hard to push I had to crawl to a stop almost got rear ended again and no steering this car is not safe there should be a law suit

There are hundreds if not thousands of 2014 Acadia owners having a service air bag light come on and wont go off. There was a recall for all Acadia's of 2013 and earlier that had a recall to fix this dangerous issue. 2014 needs to be included in this recall. This is a safety hazard and possible death upon impact issue if airbag doesnt go off due to GMC's negligence in dealing with the same issue previous models had. GMC could face lawsuits if someone is killed due to this issue on this year Acadia. Its approx $500 to fix and is a consistent problem across many owned Acadias. My car has never been in an accident or had the airbag deployed. This needs to be dealt with immediately.

About a month ago my car started losing power when driving. It often happens when entering or exiting the highway. The last time it happened was yesterday on the highway off ramp. The car loses power and a message comes on saying service stabilitrak traction control off engine power reduced, the engine idles rough and I cannot get back up to speed. I have to stop the car completely, turn it off and wait 20-30 seconds then turn it back on. I have taken the twice to the dealer and they cannot find a problem.

My service traction control and service stablilitrek comes on while I'm driving which is very because the car jerks when trying to drive at a certain speed. And when I go around a curve the stablilitrek active come on and the car makes a humming noise.

I have approximately 67000 mile on my car and today the service air bag light came on off and on I will put fuel and and the gauge still reads empty or half tank takes restarting car many times before reads accurately also passenger seat belt alarm will go off when no one is in the passenger seat

While driving, the stabilitrak service message came on, then tracktion control displayed. The car then stalled, while doing 70 on the freeway. Almost got killed trying to get to the right lane. Had to turn off ignition (and open the door to kill the electrical circuit) to reset the car to drive it. The car also does this at idle. It will randomly mis-shift and feel like a chain was hooked to my bumper and broke off. Super scary, life in danger for sure. This has happened 3 times in the last 24 hours. I just bought the car 5 days ago.

My vehicle will tell me to service stabilitral, and that traction control is off. It intermittently does this and goes away once vehicle is turned off and back O. however it is very dangerous bc the car then stalls, has a hard time accelerating, and hesitates/stutters as it tries to accelerate. Mainly does this when driving more than 20 miles on highway.but sometimes in city environments. It sounds very familiar to another recall. But it does not appear with VIN as a recall

8/28/18 - vehicle unexpectedly had jerking/shaking at around 40mph with various service messages - stabilitrak, traction on, traction off, and all wheel drive. Traction skid light illuminated. Once above 40 mph, no more jerking. Speedometer was flying up and down intermittently as well. Once parked and shut off for an hour, I started vehicle and no issues. Drove it to repair shop and they were unable to replicate the issue. It definitely felt like the vehicle wanted to stall. Now I'm nervous to drive it because I'm sure it will happen again unexpectedly. This occurred on local streets with 45 mph speed limits.

There is a problem with the ignition coil failure. The vehicle design has close proximity catalytic converters can result in accelerated contamination for the un burned fuel entering the catalytic converters resulting in engine or converter assembly failure

While driving to work this morning going around the curve the vehicle lost power. The stability, traction control and engine light all came on. I had to maneuver my vehicle oout of harms way to ensure my daughter was safe. My speed went from 55 to 20 in less than 10 seconds. Loss of power on any vehicle is scary but this is is very serious and something need to done to rectify these vehicle issues. Please take a look into this issue before some is injure or killed. Thank you.

May 2016 vehicle displayed, flashed engine codes and warning lights, then stalled on freeway, restarted and displayed service sensor traction control system. Due to an electrical short ignition coil was replaced. February 14, 2017 on freeway vehicle stalled, restarted and dash displayed service sensor traction control system, traction control system is off. Vehicle was shaking, driving rough and misfiring. Code PO300 in ECM history. Misfire history showed all cylinders have misfired but cylinder 6 had 11000 misfires set in history. Due to an electrical short ignition coil 2.170 was replaced, at my cost.

Throttle body replacement: Check engine light comes on while driving the vehicle, then a message displaying "engine power reduced, service stabilitrak." Then vehicle immediately slows down and cannot travel above 30 miles per hour. Took it in to the local GMC dealer service department, who pulled the code indicating it was a throttle body issue. Charged us $120 to clean the throttle body, only to have the problem resurface hours later. Now waiting for replacement throttle body part to arrive, which they insist will solve the problem for roughly $350 parts and labor. Shop also informed us problem can be temporarily circumvented by turning off the vehicle, then turn it back on. Often the engine will no longer be in reduced power mode for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, then will throw the message and repeat the issue.

My wife was driving the car around 40mph on surface streets.. the vehicle's traction control, electronic stability control, and check engine warning lights illuminated. The car restarted but would only go about 20mph and the dealer said it would be safe to drive it to the dealership. The dealership diagnosed the problem as a high pressure fuel pump at 60K miles. The cost was $945 and it seem to be fixed but too expensive for a car with only 60K miles.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle began to vibrate and the traction control, electronic stability control, and check engine warning lights illuminated. The contact mentioned that the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact also stated that the vehicle had to be restarted in order for the failure to stop. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, but the cause of the failure was not found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 24,000.

Twice in the past week I have had the same problem with the stability track sensor turning off while driving. When this happened the engine power decreased. When trying to get the vehicle off the road, it was like I had lost power steering because it was a fight to turn the wheel. Prior to this we have also noticed that when the vehicle shifts gears, quite often it is a very hard shift to the point it shakes the whole car and feels like it is stalling. Not sure if that is a transmission issue or something to do with the fuel injection.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. While driving approximately 55 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle's speed decreased after the service stabilitrak and service traction control warning indicators illuminated. The contact continued to drive the vehicle with the speed decreasing while driving up hills. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. But was not diagnosed or repaired; however, the mechanic stated that it appeared that the throttle body was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on one other occasion. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000. Updated 09/01/2015 updated 10/14/2015

I was traveling on the highway at about 70 mph in the left lane and the engine began to sputter like it was going to stall. It dropped my speed to 60 without warning. I had a vehicle behind me going the same speed and had to quickly move to the right to avoid getting hit. The check engine light came on and the traction control / stabilitrac turned off. Brought it to the dealer and they told me I was using the wrong gas. They cleaned carbon out of the intake valves. I have put gas in it twice since then, at shell, which is what they told me to use. It happened again today 12/9 when I was going around a corner in the rain. This time it said service stabilitrak and service traction control with the check engine light flashing and the engine sputtering. I had been going through a puddle at the time so I almost lost control of the vehicle. Called the dealer and they told me they had no record of me bringing it in on the 21st. I am bringing it back to them on the 15th because that is the first time they will have a loaner available for me. I am now afraid to drive my car because of the danger of sliding and losing control. I have no warning of when this is going to happen and I have not been able to pin point it happening at any certain mileage or such. Very scary when it happens.
