I bought my 2018 GMC Acadia SLE. The passenger seat not is adjustable up or down. It sits directly on the floor, on bars. I'm 5'5" and my shoulder is under the window rest. The seatbelt is not adjustable, making the seatbelt hit directly under my chin, which in an accident, stop or rear end collision could cause serious injury (or worse yet, decapitation). We had the car 3 weeks and put 500 miles on it, since it was at the dealer a week. They refused to replace the seat or seatbelt with adjustable units due to liability.
The liability I believe is in the original set up of seat and seatbelt not being adjustable. 5'5" is not that short.
So we ended up having to trade the car after 3 weeks and lost $5000. I am retired and feared for my life or injury due to poor equipment. This needs to be looked into, and I would like a response back.
