This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
My entertainment unit quit working properly. At times is is not available to the touch, will switch stations on it's own, change the details on display in front on steering wheel, etc, etc.
I took it in to the dealer, they charged me $140 for new modules on it stating that would fix the issue. This did not fix the problem and now they want over another $800 for a new radio in a vehicle that is 4 years old.

On starting the truck the stereo/GPS may work fine, it may fail to come on at all (black screen), or it may present any of the following: radio works but media player does not (shows song ID but will not play), steering wheel volume control works but dash control does not, etc. Dealer said that this is a "first time" problem to them on the 2016, but it is likely computer related. Truck is currently at the dealer for troubleshooting and repair. They provided a loaner vehicle, so I have transportation while awaiting the fix.
Update from Feb 26, 2016: My dealer found a software update for the "Human Interface" module, and it apparently fixed the problem.

Touch screen randomly goes berserk and is now a daily occurrence. Dealership says nothing is wrong even though I have multiple videos showing them something is wrong. Touch stops working. It will change stations, raise and lower volume, move main screen icons, try to call on star, moves around in navigation, changes in dash speedometer, to station listing by itself. On 3 occasions the entire dash went black as if the truck was turned off while driving at night and reset itself. Gauges lights everything went off and scared the s*** out of me, yet GM will do nothing and the dealers won’t either. I’m thinking about buying a bulldozer...
