Within five minutes of starting the engine and driving the 2016 Canyon, the engine will stall without warning. This has happened three times in the last 30 days. Each time the truck was moving at less than 30mph and the engine stalled without warning.

I bought a 2016 GMC Canyon with a 3.6 loaded model 4X4. Since about 12000 miles the truck has hesitated several times when driving at low speeds below 35 MPH. I have taken it to the GM dealer in Weatherford Texas twice for the issue. The first time I was told nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The problem continued intermittently. When I would take the truck back to the Chevy Shop they could not find a problem and since it does not do it all the time they could not drive the truck to get it to act up. I took it back around 34000 miles and they said they changed the computer to solve the problem. The truck still had the issue to the point it would barely go up a hill.
The motor finally gave way and the truck started to knock. I took the truck to the Chevy Dealer in Mineral Wells Texas and they said the bearings are out in the motor. They are claiming the issues was caused by an oil change with a non AC Delco filter and are not going to cover the engine even though I have had problems since the beginning of the purchase. Further more GM Warranty is denying the claim and will not cover the engine even though the power train warranty is still in effect.
Now I have a truck that has a worthless warranty and still owe $24,000 on it and can't drive it. Way to go GM.
