steering went out and wheel axle came off steering went out and wheel axle came off steering went out and wheel axle came off

My mother was still paying for a 2016 GMC Canyon when she was returning home with 3 of my grandchildren. The steering went out and they went off the road and hit a fence and the whole wheel broke off. The dealer said he doesn't know why this happened. All I know is they are death traps - we were lucky it didn't happen on the freeway.
