I bought this truck so I would have no problems, but I discovered while I was washing dirt under the paint. It had blistered and seemed like water got underneath the paint. It had 62000 km. Now the paint is gone and it looks awful. When I first noticed I went to the GMC DEALER and showed it to them. It would cost $50.00 deduction. I I took sick and they were calling me to fix it I but didn't have the money at the time. I went back after feeling better to give them 5$0.00 and they said it all different now. Your truck is 80000 km. It is now $250.00 to fix the same patch.
I was always Chevy or GMC, I feel bitter after paying them $52000 for the truck and have a vehicle starting to rust. If I knew now what I didn't know then, I would have bought something else not a Chevy or GMC . so I am warning others of this problem. They told me the warranty over it 60.000km or 5yrs. It's awful.

Brought my vehicle with 18000km to the dealer with this paint/corrosion issue. I had my vehicle looked at by a family member which has 40+ years of experience in painting and he said it is 100% caused by bad aluminum and preparation.
Dealer blamed the paint defect as caused by flies baking on the paint. They tried to buff it out, but did not work. I have no official paper work, I have opened a case with GMC and they also without having anyone else look at the vehicle side with the original dealership manager that these are caused by flies baking on the paint, but only on the aluminum painted parts.
I have filled a request to release all files to me so I may have the details on what they have documented to justify their decline of fixing this under new vehicle warranty.
