About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
At refueling, vehicle was in "normal" pitch alinement. After refueling, and upon leaving the service station, vehicle exhibited unusual rear end bounce, as if shock absorbers were missing. After two mile trip at city street speed, vehicle was parked. Visual inspection revealed that rear end was sagging about six inches down, or more. Vehicle was driven to dealer (about three miles) and examined. Service department reported that compressor for load leveling system was leaking and had failed. If this had occurred at highway speed with a towed load, I believe I would have lost control of vehicle.
