problem #2

Envoy V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 295,000 miles

My vehicle has started having electrical issues without warning. I can be riding down the road and all the gauges will come on at once and then my entire system will shutdown while I'm driving on the highway. Very scary in rush hour traffic, not to mention dangerous. Everything electrical seems to be having an issue on my truck. My mirrors have stopped working, my entire unit has gone out, my driver side seat warmer stopped all of sudden but the lights blink on and off, my gas hand don't register the correct amount in the tank anymore, my cruise control works when it wants to, and not to mention my check engine light comes on and goes off all the time. The electrical issues with my vehicle are very annoying to say the least but I'm scared that one day I will be driving and get into an accident because the system shutdowns like a computer that's rebooting. Then it will power back on like nothing has happened. Is anyone else having these issues and if so how did they fix it?

Envoy SLE 4.2L-6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 64,000 miles

electrical short in the main wiring harness, around the heater air controls was clean the inside of my envoy when smoke started coming out from front of center console.i ran to the garage grabbed a crescent wrench and unhooked the battery.my insurance co. denied my claim because they said it was a mechanical problem and no visual damage and GM dealer said they can't do anything for me because the warranty only 3yrs 36000 miles.I thought l was doing the right think by grabbing that wrench? and everything in my envoy is factory no after market.NOW THE BATTLE BEGINS!!!!!
