The contact owns a 2006 GMC Envoy. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised the contact that the engine was running lean and they were unable to make repairs until the component had actually failed. The manufacturer was later contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000. Updated 05/08/12 the consumer stated the vehicle was repaired. The intake manifold needed to be tightened. Updated 05/14/12

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Envoy. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact noticed smoke escaping from the air conditioner unit. The contact stopped the vehicle, looked under the hood and noticed that the resister and motor wires were melted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics or repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
