Adding another quick note for drivers of these cars who get random hard shifts. Just like Ford and Dodge and every other car maker at this time in manufacturing, cars rely on a well rounded system of electronics to control how the car shifts up and down. I sometimes get a very hard shift while stomping on the accelerator which I thought was abnormal. All it is basically is the computer learning and trying to shift with your poor driving habits. Things like quick accelerating and stopping are rough on the tranny and tear it up. To avoid damaging it further and reset how the car shifts take this simple process.
1: Unhook the negative battery terminal overnight and leave it off until the morning (Make sure to manually use the key to lock your car as the alarm is off now)
2: Drive it like a grandma for the next few days and don't let the gas get below 1/4 of a tank and you'll be set
The computer will relearn how to shift and drive correctly and you'll be set. Easy fix.
