Envoy XL

  • 70,000 miles
The contact owns a 2004 GMC Envoy XL. The contact stated that the rear driver and passenger side door latches failed. Neither of the doors would open and when the contact was able to open the doors, they would not remain closed. The dealer advised the latches were chipping and the failure was the same as described in NHTSA campaign id number: 05V494000 (latches/locks/linkages: Doors: Latch). The vehicle had not yet been repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 73,000.
