Recall number 08V231000 concerning the multifunction switch in steering column. 2000 GMC Jimmy is experiencing same problem as recall and GM says the part was replaced back in 03 per their records but if it actually was replaced, the part that replaced it is failing just as the recall info described and could lead to light failure. My concern is they are replacing defective parts with defective parts and are unwilling to address this concern!

Consumer feels vehicle has the same problems as in recall 01V364000. The consumer wanted to know if 2 recalls he discovered had been performed on his vehicle. GM customer service would not release any information to the consumer because he was not the original owner.
