The contact owns a 2001 GMC Jimmy. The contact stated that while at a complete stop with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle turned off independently. The contact stated that he had to depress the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal at the same time to keep the vehicle running. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the spider fuel injectors needed to be replaced. Additionally, there was very low compression on cylinder #1 and #3 of 55 PSI. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was unrepairable. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.
