When I push the rear hatch open button only one side of the latch releases (the right side). I cannot open the hatch and consequently cannot open the two doors to get to my stuff. How do you open the hatch to repair the faulty part (What is that "part" anyway?)

Barn-style doors in back of 1995 Safari have jammed. When i try to open with key i hear a clicking sound but right side barn door opens a little and left side remains jammed. Had problem fixed in November but it has surfaced again. The hydraulics on the lift door have also given out but that is a a separate problem. Any suggestions? i hate to bring it back to those crooks who fixed it the first time. Otherwise i love my Safari, it is the best van on the market for families or working.
