While the consumer was gripping a dash board handle to pull herself up, the handle crumbled into 5 to 6 pieces. The manufacturer and the dealer are aware of the problem. Consumer stated that the dealer became aware of the problem when consumer ordered for the replacement part. Dealership removed the 2 mounting bolts with attached pieces of the handle, inspected the air bag compartment and then installed the new handle.
