The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra. The contact stated that the interior driver side door handle began fracturing and shards of the door handle would cause lacerations to his hands. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised him that the vehicle was not included in any recalls and that he would need to replace the door handle. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8. the VIN was unavailable.
