Sierra AT4 6.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,500 miles

On July 15, 2023, I had "catastrophic engine failure" on my 2022 "Refreshed" AT4. Left stranded on the side of I-75 South in Bradley County, TN.

Truck was towed to my local dealer, where it sat for about 10 weeks awaiting a new crate 6.2L from GM.

GM covered the costs of all parts, engine, labor, rental vehicle and GM has issued a certificate for a new 100K warranty on the engine.

My issue/problem/complaint continues to be GM's apparent refusal to acknowledge the problems caused by the AFM system and also because no one can/will tell me whether my new replacement engine has the same defective parts or not.

I have always driven my vehicles (including a Suburban and 2 Yukon's) until the wheels fall off. Sucks to have to worry about whether my new truck will continue to get me where I am going even though it only has about 32k miles on it.
