Sierra 1500 4.3L V8

I just added a fuel treatment to the gas tank so I could take it in for an emissions test. After a ten kilometer drive to a restaurant, when it was time to go home, the truck would not start and the engine light goes on when I turn the key. Does anyon have any ideas for a fix or have I destroyed the engine ?
