The driver's side interior door handle has been replaced at least 12 times. It always fails at the same location which is where the handles pivot point is. The strength of the handle has been greatly reduced by the pitiful design and the placement of the return spring. The area where the spring is seated should have been a solid cylindrical shape with the coil spring wrapped around it. The failure occurs at the same location every time twisting the weak substandard aluminum or magnesium material (or whatever it is ) therefore not allowing the connection to the rod which is attached to the door latch mechanism to travel the distance required to open the door. To get out of the truck the window needs to get rolled down and then the left hand needs to perform an outside reach behind to the outside handle technique. It is both a bad design and a poor choice of material used.
