The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Excessive rust build up on brake rotors and calipers. Rotors & pads previously replaced in Mar., 2007 after driving 40,000 miles. Needed replacement again in Oct., 2009 after only driving 14,000 additional miles. Instrument cluster failed and was replaced in June, 2011 at 58,000 miles. Dealer advised no recall on this model, although identical instrument clusters for newer vehicles had been recalled and were being replaced at no charge.

I have called repeatedly and filed reports of electrical and the brakes in the 99 GMC Suburban. I have called several times about the smell of electrical burning. No one cared. Wires have melted and shorted out the headlights, tail lights, air conditioner etc. No one has done anything and GMC refuses to do recall.
