The contact owns a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that the passenger side seat belt shoulder harness failed to retract. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the shoulder harness failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,000.
