2000 GMC 1500 Sierra 47,357 miles had a recall about a year ago. They cleaned and etched front brake lines at the calipers. Today towing a trailer with a car in the I-95 corridor between D.C. and baltimore I had to attempt a quick stop for slow traffic when suddenly I lost all breaking pressure and fortunately ended at the inner grass space barely saving a horrible crush with several cars lined in front of me. My front reservoir was very low, underneath the car at the driver's door level all 4 break lines were badly swollen and corroded, one at least was obviously dripping, and even the frame was corroded and metal chunks were easily knocked. Other sections look very rusty worse than a 65 Ford galaxie am restoring.and this at almost 48,000 miles.
