Sierra 1500 6.0V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Brakes were working coming up to a vehicle stopped at a red light, pedal went to the floor. Needless to say truck would not stop, accident happened striking other vehicle twice. Police officer proceeded to tell me if that was his motorcycle I would have killed him. Then asked me to get out of my truck. By now the adrenalin is running through me.

To make a long story short, because I hit the other vehicle twice [no brakes] other charges are being brought. I'm 58 years old without even a single ticket. What a load of crap. Especially with PA inspection every year you think you would be safe! It's not over yet!!!!!!!

Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,817 miles

Coming up to an intersection with yellow light, hit the brakes and peddle went to the floor, no brakes at all, coasted right through intersection missing an oncoming car. Brake line that travels from front right to left corroded right through in the centre. Truck has a history of bad brakes, so much that the rotors were replaced with SSBC zinc coated rotors at 65000 km's!. At 60,000km's GM said all brakes had to be replaced. Wonder why GMC also abandoned the rear disc system and went back to drums??? BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T MAKE THEM WORK!! Will never by another GM product again.

Contacted the dealer and of course, THEY DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN. Good bye GM forever.
