Engine began randomly misfiring, making it nearly impossible to increase speed faster than a light accelleration. The service engine soon light would flash and then stay on.I personally replaced the spark plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter, and added injector cleaner to no avail. Had the vehicle hooked up to 3 seperate computers and all gave the code "P0300 random cylinder misfire." 3 seperate mechanics were at a loss at initial diagnosis. The problem seemed to occur in the even numbered cylinders. After finally taking it to the GM dealership, they stated it was an internal vacuum leak caused by a bad intake gasket. The worst part is the vehicle only has 33,000 miles on it. The only relief is that the dealership handled the problem very well, and worked with me a little on price with the repair.
