problem #3

Sierra 1500 2 DR 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

I AM IN AFGHANISTAN AND GET TO LISTEN TO THE WIFE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS SITUATION. SHE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND THEY FIND NOTHING...THE PROBLEM DOES NOT APPEAR. AFTER A COUPLE DAYS THAN THE PROBLEM STARTS UP.

WHEN USING THE AIR CONDITIONING SOMETIMES THE NUMBER 1 COOL/ FAN SETTING DOES NOT WORK. IF PLACE IN NUMBER 2 SETTING IT WORKS, THEN ALL OF SUDDEN YOU GET HOT AIR OUT OF BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER VENTS. SOMETIMES YOU GET HOT AIR FROM DRIVER VENTS AND COOL AIR FROM PASSENGER VENTS.

Sierra 1500 4.8L

same problem as reported above. Dealer cannot give me an accurate quote. I have a background in auto repair, but it has been quite a few years ago. Can this be done at home by myself.
