Sierra 1500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 121,000 miles

Bought the truck, went out on a hunting trip for a few days, put 800 miles on it. Brought it back into the dealership stated that when i accelerated from the stop position i would feel a slip, wasn't sure if it was my joints or transmission. After getting a drop off date, i dropped off my truck, the dealership had it in the shop for almost 50 days. found out it there was a paper work issue.... The the warranty covered it however they wanted an inspector to look at it, it was a cost issue as to whom would pay for it. Eventually it was squared away, they replaced my transmission. I got with management about my concerns and lack of communication. I ended up with a rebuilt transmission and free tune-up with no charge to me. I did get a rental at no charge to me for part of the time my truck was in the shop. The dealership I went to is Alaska Sales and Service; the customer service and mechanic rep was very helpful.
