well engine light came on ran my code reader and the code for the gas tank vent solenoid was gone. the gm dealership wanted 500.00 to fix my truck .now i just found out my emissions will not pass because of this problem design by gm .so now i have to spend the 500 to fix but i will try to fix my self. the solenoid is dirty instead of putting the vent solenoid in the front of the truck the designers put it in the back of the truck on top of the gas tank where all the dirt from the road goes ......there soloution to fix new solenoid 2 band clamps 1 wire harness and 3 ft of heater hose and move it to ontop of the transmission housing ..they r fukking rocket scientests there .so i have some home work to do so much for being like a rock lol

Luckily I have a cool mechanic friend that allows me to play with his Snapon computer and check components. The vent purge solenoid proved bad , cheap easy fix once diagnosed.
