This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
Do not buy a GMC Sierra - it shakes at 25mph and up ever since delivery and GMC will not fix.
Twice to dealership for the same warranty problem and now GM wants me to pay for a defect that has been evident since delivery. I have told them about this problem and that it has been occurring since I took delivery.
Lemon Law gives them 18 months, then the law expires. I tried to get appointments with a dealership in Orange and was put on hold for over 15 minutes the first time, 12 minutes the second time, and over 21 minutes the third time. I never got an answer and this was after they looked up the history of this vehicle. "Hold on, let me look up the history." Then I waited forever and they never picked up again.
First appointment took 5 weeks from date I called. The problem was not fixed. I called again and that is when I was put on hold for over 21 minutes. I called GMC, spoke with Myra. Seemed like she was trying to help... Then I took my Sierra into the dealer today for the same problem since delivery and now they want me to pay for service. They said it is a "service issue" now.
Now they know the lemon law has expired and they do not care at all. I was a loyal GM buyer. Never again.
