problem #1

Mar 282013

Sierra 1500 SLT 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

I brought the truck in to 3 different dealerships multiple times at each one to find and fix the problem before the warranty went out, but they where unable to fix the problem. I called GMC customer support multiple times to let them be aware of the problem. They just keep telling me to bring it back to dealer again. Driving the truck at times the truck would hesitate and drop out of second gear, over heat transmission to temps of 200 degrees. After the warranty went out at about 120000 the transmission started making a rattling noise in the transmission and would not shift right. I brought it in to the dealer again and they told me that the transmission had failed internally, also that they could not fix it because it was out of warranty, even though I have been complaining about this problem for 20000 miles now! Was very pissed off with them. I then had to pay for towing and a new transmission out of my pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
