Friend of mine has a 2010 also, same truck. At 92K his idled rough and check engine light came on; code P0300. His #7 cylinder plug was fowled but previously for 2 years his #1 was fouling. Oil rings carboned and not moving and he wound up getting new pistons and rings....under warranty. At 98K mine went in for the same thing, same dealer same code. My #1 was fouled and they replaced the plug and new valve cover gasket. I even brought in my buddies paperwork and they said it wasn't the same thing. Mine cost me $608. Now at 107K it fouled out #1 again and same code again. This was a new dealership and they said I was down 2qts of oil and my vehicle is "in need of significant engine work", conveniently it has been stated it is not covered under warranty. Personally, I think GMC is skirting a major issue with these engines and procrastination by the dealers is leading people to get stuck with the bill. Very pissed off and not sure what to do next.

Had the check engine light come on. Took it in and they foumd the #1 and #7 spark plug fouled. Fixed that. Then about one month later it came on again and the rough idle got worse. Mind you , even after they replaced the plugs, the rough idle never ceased. The second time the truck just about shut off. Took it in and they had to replace all the left side pistons. Got the truck back and it still has a rough idle. I have spent over 100 dollars on fuel additive and cleaners. Frustrated.
