Sierra 1500 Z71 SLE V.6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150 miles

We bought the brand new truck and I picked it up on 4/8/10 and there was a slight smell of the engine being hot, but it did not read hot. So we thought maybe it was just burning off some of the fluids or whatever from when it was made. Then we started noticing a leak coming from the engine. Before you know it was losing oil rapidly and there were puddles of it after just 10 mins of sitting. It also had sprayed all over the inside of the engine compartment and it was all over the passenger side of the vehicle. We took it in and they said that it ended up being the oil coolant lines so they ordered two more. Apparently GM did not put the lines on properly when it was at the factory and could have caused a major issue in the long run, since it lost a whole lot of oil and never warned us or anything that this was happening.
