The contact owns a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500. While the vehicle was parked with the heat activated, the rear windshield exploded after ten minutes. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the rear windshield was replaced. The diagnosis was unknown. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 170,000.

Rear view mirror just falls off and takes a chunk of windshield with it. Could very easy startled some one and cause accident
