Sierra 1500 SLE 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,000 miles

Drove 1 block, rearend locked up, mileage 61,000- manufacture warranty 100,000 miles or 5 yrs with dealership, we paid over $38,000 for this truck. Many complaints were made regarding the pin backing out of the drive train. We had to pay $3809.00 for repairs. Crown Gmc in Metairie was very rude. After making us wait 2 hours, they came out and said we could trade in or accept 10 percent discount and that it was our fault for not maintaining vehicle. We have documentation on all maintainence done on this vehicle done every 3000 miles since we acquired it. There was a recall on this part in 2011, which we were not aware of. Manager told us the pin in our vehicle was changed prior to us buying it, but, that was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. We have bought 4 vehicles from Crown GMC. The salesperson advised that our truck never came from the plant where they put the wrong pin in, than a little while later, he advised they fixed it when we purchased. So, which is true? This all seems like a breach in warranty and we will surely have reservations about ever purchasing a GMC product again.
