This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
Electrical buzzing noise often occurred when I opened the door. Then one day the noise persisted and was accompanied by a crackle pop. Engine wouldn't start. Previously I told dealer about the problem and they never heard about it or knew what it might be. This time they discovered the battery was dead and so was the alternator even though a few weeks earlier after an oil change they said the battery was in good shape.
I've heard the buzzing noise again, a few weeks ago and this morning. I don't want this problem to occur somewhere between CA and Santa Fe, NM, a trip I need to take again soon.

Reversed truck from driveway, when put it back in drive, it shut off. Engine wouldn't turn had to have my daughters help me push it to the side of the road. Turned on the next morning with engine light on. Took it to the dealer and he said that they couldn't find anything wrong. That the computer didn't find anything. I didn't accept their answer and having them keep checking it.

Three times it's been in the shop, they can't seem to fix it. They told us at one point to change the keys. We put the key in and engine won't turn over, stop, take the key out and put it back in and engine starts.

The anti-theft system was malfunctioning and not allowing me to start truck. This would last a couple of minutes and then it would finally crank over and start. This happened seven times over the past 3 days. I took it into the dealer and they had to clear the codes and flash the immobilizer. I drove it home from the dealer and it seemed fine. That was until the next morning when I tried starting it and the anti-theft system malfunctioned again.
