This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
I bought my GMC 14 last year with 87,000 miles on around 90,000 miles the torque converter went out had to replace it, now at 115000 miles the lifters are going bad.

Glad it was covered under warranty. The guy at the dealer said it would have been approximately $3-3500 fix. Still unacceptable to have a motor failure under 50,000 miles from a motor they've made hundreds of thousands of. Expected more out of a $50k+ truck.

I see this is a very common issue for this year, make, model, and engine size. I've called around to several places and it seems like the best answer I can get is getting it replaced for half of what I paid for the truck. How is it that GM is getting sued for these issues and there isn't a recall in place to fix an issue they started? Any help would be appreciated
