My truck started misfiring one morning, I changed spark plugs, wires, and coils, and that didn't solve the problem. I had it transported to Goodyear, but they could not solve the problem, they advertised take it to the dealership. I had it transported to the dealership, and I was told by the dealership I needed a new engine. I knew better than that, so I had it transported back to my house, and I did a compression test on # 2 cylinder 0 psi on the cylinder. I knew the problem, the valve spring collapsed, then had to have it pulled and taken to machine shop to be redone. I did all the work, I think there was a lawsuit for deactivating cylinder.

I WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD PULLING MY BOAT TO THE LAKE AND THE TRUCK STARTED MISFIRING AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND LIMPED IT THERE. OF COURSE THIS WAS CUTTING INTO MY TIME AT THE LAKE. WHEN AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP AND RETURNED THE TRUCK TO ME IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE HAD CAME LOOSE FROM THE COIL PACK. THIS HAPPENED TO ME 3 ADDITIONAL TIMES ON DIFFERENT CYLINDERS.
