Sierra 1500 Z71 Kodiak SLE 5.3L

My driver side seat is really wearing out on the door side. I can only imagine this is from me climbing in and out of the driver seat while entering or exiting the vehicle. Cheap seat material in a pickup truck is not acceptable. Are trucks not supposed to be made for the working man?? Should the material be above par??? I am 6'3 and 220lbs, the seat covering should not be wearing out at 80,000KM on a 3 year old vehicle... Another disappointment with this truck. First and last GM product ever. I have many different vehicles in my life that I paid a third of the price for that were built 100 times better.

Sierra 1500 5.3L V8

I purchased a new GMC pickup from you in April 2015.

The pickup has a little over 12,000 miles on it and has performed decently for us, but the seat cover is now wearing out for the 2nd time and will soon need to be replaced again.

I would like to point out that I have purchased a lot of new Honda and Toyota’s and have never had this problems with any of them until they were driven over 100,000 miles and over 7 years or so.

Considering that this is still a new vehicle, and covered under warranty, I presume that I can get this replaced at no cost to me at the local GMC dealership in Kennewick? However, since this is the 2nd time it has failed in a little over a 1 year, and it is apparent it will just fail again in a short time, is there any chance that I can get upgraded and color coordinated material that will last longer and simply pay the difference between what I would get free under warranty and the cost of a quality seat cover that will not have to be replaced often?
