The contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 15-25 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but was difficult to slow down or stop the vehicle efficiently. The contact stated that the brake pedal was very stiff. The vehicle was taken to kunes country Chevrolet Buick GMC of elkhorn (located at 1350 wi-67, elkhorn, wi 53121, (262) 725-4068) where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump was weak. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 68,800. Consumer stated vehicle was repaired.

Sierra 1500

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra denali. While driving approximately 70 mph, the brake pedal was applied, but failed to respond. The contact had to apply pressure to the brake pedal with both feet to stop the vehicle. The dealer (jay Buick GMC, 18800 rockside rd, bedford, oh 44146, 440-232-5000) ordered the replacement oem part; however, the contact had the brake system vacuum pump installed by an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000.
