Sierra 1500 4.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 97,000 miles

I think GM should pay for it since it has been a problem for a long time. They should make better parts and not cut corners for what they charge. I have been a GM man all my life. I traded in a 2006 Chevy wheel drive with 240,000 miles for this 2015 GMC and I had no problems with my truck until I traded and now I have this tranny problem. I have have read all about it and there is a problem with them and it needs to be fixed. It's a code po741 and I had the shifting solenoids replaced and that didn't fix it. It took a rebuilt one to take care of it is what the mechanic said. Martindodge2013@yahoo.com is my e-mail.

I think GM should take care of it on the tranny problem - there are others who had had the problem also. The truck only has 97,000 miles on it. The repair man said it was a code of po741, the transmission valve for shifting failed, and after putting the new valves in it... well, that didn't fix it, and it still does not shift in to high gear. I think GM should pay for it for making junk, is what the mechanic says.
