Started having shuddering vibrations on my GMC Truck around the 54000 mileage mark back in February 2024. Got worse so I took it to local dealership where they diagnosed the problem and told me it was my Torque converter. So it was recommended I replace that. My extended warranty would cover everything except the fluid exchange which I had to pay in addition to my deductible. All was well after repairs UNTIL I started having shuddering issues again so I took it back in only less than a month later and they replaced the torque converter again in April 2024.
All was good UNTIL this time UNTIL about a week later I started getting hard shifts, slipping, fishbite, and shuddering again. I took it back in to dealership a week later. Technician test drove it with me and it did do the shuddering and a little of the fishbite. So I was told to keep driving it another 500 miles and bring it back in. It was in May 2024 that I brought it back and the Technician test drove it with me and yet again shuddering and so forth. The technician said he didn't feel anything or its not doing it. I told him (And all the other times) it does it worse first thing in the morning, upon take off, and at speeds of less than 45. No solution was given just told to keep driving and bring it back in if it gets worse.
So here I am again for the 5th/6th time at the dealership in June 2024 letting them know my truck is having those same issues again. The technician checked it out again this time test driving with the ODB reader attached to it getting readings from Transmission. It came back Transmission is good and Torque converter. I stated that something is going on I'm not making this stuff up. No solution from the dealership except to keep driving eventually what ever is causing it will break and then they will know what to fix. I feel that I'm getting the run around. My truck is getting worse. Its starting to stall now upon take off.
A car almost hit me last week because the transmission slipped and it hesitated to go in drive for about 3 seconds. It does that everyday. Time times I take it to the dealership it may or may not do it but I guarantee if they drive that truck all day like me they will feel it. The test drives at dealership are only like 15 - 20 minutes of driving. I know there have got to be something that can be did about this. Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks.
