Purchased this truck new, and right after the warranty ran out, I noticed the clear coat bubbled up first and then I saw where it has started flaking off along with the paint. The error is on the right side of the truck/passenger door. I don't see that side every day as I am the driver. Checked it again and it just keeps traveling more over time. I called the local collision center to see what the cost would be to repair and they quoted me right over $2,000.00. My wife started looking for recalls and found the recall for the paint and the lawsuit. So here I am. This was a $50,000.00 truck that I feel I shouldn't have to pay $2,000.00 to fix an error made by the manufacturer. I want on the lawsuit bandwagon.

Went to do my regular end of week wash, as I was washing the truck, the section behind the passenger rear door window, the paint just completely flaked off without any effort. I was standing there completely shocked as I built this truck to look immaculate and now there is a huge section of paint missing out of nowhere, I'm exactly 1 year over my new car warranty, so there is no way GM is going to help any of this, I am absolutely furious and can't believe there hasn't been a recall on this, I've looked an it seems like I've found it happening on the same spot on the white GMs from 14-19 and on some its flaking on even more spots...
So now what happens when I wash my truck next... Another new surprise of a huge section of paint missing?!?!
I was a big fan of my truck and GM but now I've really been woken up. I've had vehicles that cost a fraction of the price and have never had anything like this happen in my entire life.

Six year old truck. Paint on passenger door looks like it's more like 20 years old.
