The contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. While inspecting the vehicle, it was discovered that the protective rust proofing coating was coming off, and rust and corrosion were present on the subframe of the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,200.
