My issue is with my back up camera being useless in low lighting and dark situations. I live in a dark community sometimes and I cannot use my back up camera to get me down my driveway without opening both front windows. I had a 2016 GMC Sierra and I had no problem with it. I first brought it into the shop with this issue and they replaced the camera and that did nothing. The 2nd time I brought it in for the camera issue, they said it is a software issue and they are waiting for a fix. (That was back in June) I called GMC Customer care and opened a case, but that is falling on deaf ears as they are saying there is nothing they can do. They tell me to keep waiting on the dealership for the fix. My Daughter, son and friends are having the same issue, but they are adding additional lights. I refuse to do that, as I think GMC should take care of it.

Front pads wear to 1-?"2-??mm and front rotors become -??very warped-?? within short mileage intervals; right-?'front caliper previously seized; pad-?'sensor circuit fault also documented. Multiple dealer repairs under 30k miles; condition recurs. Increased stopping distance and steering vibration at speed. Chronology (dates / approx. mileage): 09/06/2024 (~10,437): front brake repair; 01/13-?"14/2025 (~16,239): RF caliper seized repaired; 05/05-?"06/2025 (~20,734): pads 1-?"2-??mm and rotors very warped; 08/15-?"18/2025 (~27,574): pads again ~2-??mm and rotors very warped. ( Emissions soot collection and engine deceleration is another issue in the diagnostics.) Dealer: Chevrolet Buick GMC of Bellevue, WA. Status: Defect continues after multiple repairs; safety concern due to stopping distance and vibration.

The car has experienced multiple dangerous incidents due to likely electrical or software faults, losing power suddenly on two occasions while driving. This is especially concerning given the low mileage of 20,000 km and that the vehicle is still under warranty. Vehicle Information: -?? Model: GMC Sierra SLE, 2024 -?? VIN: [XXX] -?? Current Mileage: 20,000 km Description of the Problem & History: 1. First Incident (At 3,000 km): o The vehicle completely shut down due to an electrical or system software issue while driving. o The vehicle was towed to the dealer and held for over two weeks for repairs. 2. Second Incident (Recently): o The vehicle again lost functionality; the gear was stuck in 1st gear, and I was unable to manually shift. o This occurred while driving, creating another unsafe situation. o The vehicle was again taken to the dealer for repair, and to date, I have not been informed of the root cause. TWICE in the past month +. On [XXX] my wife and I were on our way to a family wedding and I was driving approx 75 MPH on [XXX]. I don't recall if I had cruise control on or not as I rarely use it. There was no vehicle was in front of me for hundreds of yards yet all of a sudden the vehicle started to brake very hard. I accelerated as I did not know what was going on and I had a car in back of me that started to gain. THEN last Friday ([XXX}) with my wife following me in her car on [XXX] through Ellicott City MD I was traveling at approx 25-30 MPH through a very small historic town when all of a sudden the same [XXX] thing happened. DEF no CC on. When we got to our destination I asked my wife if she saw my brakes come on suddenly?. She replied yes and said she saw the truck dip hard. I told her the brakes did it again. She said I should call the dealer. I did not as they are USELESS! THEN the electronics. On Star has a catalog of my complaints. The radio selections I make just disappear from the screen: Apple Car Play disappears from the touch screen and just goes dark. I have to stop the truck..(per on-star) open the door.. get out.. lock it.. wait 2 minutes.. get back in.. restart the truck, and this re-sets the computers(s). RIDICULOUS! I do not have Sirius but the radio goes dark often for about 2-3 seconds., then comes back on. I was told it is my I-Phone is causing this. [XXX]! What does my phone have to do with AM/FM radio?? I was told by GMC there is a patch to update the software. Koons GMC told me there was no such patch nor recall. I paid nearly $80,000 for this piece of [XXX]! Purchase the truck [XXX]. In January of 2025 it started to feel like the engine was slipping. Near the end of February, it was getting worse and the locks started locking/unlocking on their own. The vehicle stalled two separate times while driving on a main road. The first couple days of March, the car stalled, again on the road while the locks went crazy. Then, on [XXX], after I had pulled out of my driveway in my neighborhood, my car completely shut down. We had to have the truck towed to Coyle GMC, in Clarksville, Indiana. And, as of May 1st, it is still there. We have been told they need some cap for the transmission and they don't know when they will get it. They offered to give us a new transmission, but they don't know when they'll get it. I am making car payments on a car that I have not had since May 7th. Unfortunately, because I drive my car for work, it had it's 32000 miles on it, so I can't turn it in for the lemon law. I'm very lucky that my son and I were not injured when the car stalled in the middle of the road. This is an ongoing issue with GMC, and I think it should be illegal that they were selling these trucks. I have a brand new truck that I haven't driven in 2 months. Only owned my 2024 gmc sierra 1500 for 5 months close to 10,000 miles on odometer. Transmission valvebody failure. Gm and dealership says no ETA for a replacement part. Im hearing from other customers with same issue part will take 5-6 months for dealership to receive part. I have a brand new truck that im making truck payments on just siting at the dealership waiting for a transmission valvebody. This is unacceptable! There are many many GM customers dealing with this same issue.

November 15 I was driving home from work as the truck started jerking. The system was giving me an engine failure drive with caution warning. I pulled over and decided the turn off the truck and turn it back on. Once I turned it back on it was revving on its own. I decided to turn it off again and it stopped revving but the gears would not shift. You were physically able to switch them but as much as you pressed on the gas to reverse it would not. I had to have it towed to the dealership I purchased it at. It has been 3 months and the part that is needed is still on back order. I placed a compliant with GM and they opened a case but nothing has happened yet as far as getting an ETA on the part.

Tailgate comes open without wanting too. Few times I've come to find the truck with the tailgate open, has occurred twice while driving. There is a recall for the same issue with the 2500 and 3500 series GMC Sierra. My truck is a 1500 series GMC. Surely same issue and faulty tailgate lock as the 2500 and 3500 trucks.

On 2 occasions now my tailgate has opened on its own. The first incident happened sometime after I got home from work for the night, when I went to leave in the AM my tailgate was resting on the garage door and had been scratched. The second time it happened I didn-??t notice it while driving but when I went to close the garage door I looked back and saw the gate was open and partially sticking out of the garage. Nothing happened this time to put anyone at risk however there is damage to the truck and if it happened while hauling something could have come out and hurt someone or damage property. I have not brought it to a service center yet. No warning

Power sliding window leaking water. Available for inspection upon request. Leaking water can lead to mold posing in the vehicle leading to a health concern. Problem was inspected and verified by dealer and initial service bulletin repair was made to apply vehicle sealant to the top of the window. Window still leaked after the initial repair. Dealer planning to replace the entire rear window. This appears to be an issue with multiple years of GMC and Chevrolet trucks with sliding rear windows. No warning lamps associated.

The reverse lights and high-definition camera system are woefully insufficient for backing up this truck safely in the dark. I have experience several near-misses due to the poor nighttime performance of the video system and reverse lights. This has been ongoing since the vehicle was purchased new. It impacts both the video displayed in the main touchscreen and the video rear view mirror. Furthermore, the reverse lights are sealed LED units that are non-serviceable.

I bought this 2024 GMC Sierra new in February of 2024. I have been having several problems. Mainly the back up camera works intermittently. I have had my truck into the dealer 5 times for the same problem. I have contacted GMC to initiate a buy back. I have had the entire infotainment system replaced and am still having problems. My truck goes into the dealer, luther brookdale GMC, again 0ctober 17th, 2024 for the 6th time. I have been dealing with this problem for over eight months I have videos if it would do any good.

The driver's side floor mat will not stay in place because the device that is supposed to hold it in place is broken. The floor mat is now able to move forward and interfere with the function of the brake and/or accelerator. Both the dealership (Castle Rock GMC, Colorado) and GMC Customer Care (Case #: 91-11325687695) have ignored all requests to address this and other issues. I have also written letters to GMC Corporate and the Castle Rock GMC General Manager, both of which were also ignored.
