Sierra 2500 8-cyl

  • 65,000 miles
Front crossmember welds severely rusted and rotted out. Crossmember about ready to break loose from frame. Front frame rails severely rusted and rotted out. Front suspension parts severely rusted and rotting away. Rear frame severely rusted and rotted out. Shock mounts about ready to break loose from frame. Absolutely unacceptable and pathetic for a 13 year old, 32,000 dollar truck to be un-drivable and in this condition.

Was driving on a local road. Brake pedal went to floor. Was able to stop and drive it home. The line above the gas tank was corroded and had to be replaced. Same thing happened in Dec.2011. This time the line was corroded against the frame leading to the ABS module. This repair hasn't been completed because of expense. I plan to replace the remainder of the lines because they are rusting inside the engine compartment leading to the master cylinder.
