Hit the remote start a few days ago and saw the running lights come on though it was ok. Went out to truck and it hadn't started. Hit the button again and just click, click, click. Not enough juice to start the engine. Beginning to think there may be a problem with the remote start system (aftermarket) but want to check if there are any recalls or if anyone has had this type of intermittent no-start condition.

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500. It starts and immediately dies. I've replaced the ignition switch housing and sensor, and cylinder per a GM mechanic, relearned the sensor, still have the same issue. The security light still on. The odd thing is, when I hook my code scanner to it, no codes are stored. I scanned with a data reader, and it shows nothing. I am thinking of buying a custom programmed PCM that ignores the security. I've read so much about this sh*t, my head hurts. It amazes me that with all the complaints GM has received, they haven't offered a method to opt out of the security feature. Its not a federal mandate! Any suggestions?
