Purchased this nice GMC 2006 in 2007 for close to $65 000.00 and the rotors for the whole truck is failing in an unusual manner. Cheap rotors or defective metal used to produce them? I had noise in the rear breaks when to GMC to have it checked and they found out I needed new breaks. They didn't have time to change them so I went to a repair shop to replace them. When the mechanic saw the rotors he called me to tell me that they are no good the finish is falling apart and prematurely wore off early because of the rough surface! They needed to be replaced but my truck wasn't even at 50 000 km!!! and the front pads have the same problem and they will need to be changed soon the finish is falling apart to.
Rotors do not have to be changed so soon those parts should be under warranty or be covered to last at least 100 000 km. Rotors on older cars would last the lifetime of the car!!!
I just want them to take responsibility for faulty or weak products.

Truck has 103,000 km on original brakes, but rears are at 5% left and fronts have 80% left. This indicates to me that the front brakes are not doing their job - could be very dangerous during emergency stops with heavy loads or towing trailers.
