On or about [XXX], the Transmission Control Module, FAILED, on my 2011GMC Denali 2500 6.6 diesel. It was a KNOWN faulty part.General Motors was aware of the issue years ago. This part should have been deemed a Safety Recall item. Imagine, pulling a trailer down a busy Freeway, with Semi's presence. Module goes out, truck goes idle, people hurt or worse. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Fuse for left turn trailer burns out repeatedly. No warning or indication it is out until someone pulls me over or tells me when stopped or I check. I have three different trails and all are involved. The fuse will at times, be blown without trailer attached. Dealer can't find issue (intermittent problem). Never know when fuse blows unless I check it or hook up trailer. Always left turn trailer fuse. Truck does have two batteries and is diesel. Has happened many times, ever since truck was new. Last time, jan3, 2017. Sounds similar to recall 14V407000. My truck was manufactured during time period given but never received notice of any kind.

Vehicle sporadically spontaneously locks all 4 doors within 10 seconds after closing the door. No touching of remote, no accidentally hitting a door switch while exiting the vehicle. It happens when I'm at the back of the truck, or 10 feet away. Always within 10 to 15 seconds after exiting. It may sound strange, but it happens more often toward the end of the onstar yearly contract. Safety concern - I have a 3-year old grandson who likes to go with me. What happens if I forget to take the keys with me while I'm refueling on a hot summer day and I haven't extended the onstar contract? obviously, I'd break a window if necessary, but then I'd have to buy another window. It appears my vehicle is not the only one having this problem. Of course, no trouble codes therefore dealer can't repair, but my dealer's service rep admits it happens very often and not limited to GMC trucks.

Vehicle exhibited "low coolant" warning in dic after GM def recall was performed. "low coolant" warning returned after multiple repairs to the coolant system from servicing dealer. Failure of coolant system resulted in a failure of the head gasket and water intrusion into the #7 cylinder. Vehicle is 12 months old and had 15,000 miles at the time of failure. Vehicle also exhibited multiple electrical system failures including: Dead battery no start condition multiple times trailer brake system failure engine hour meter failure intermittent electrical failures from door locks, lights, radio. Selling dealer recalibrated ECM twice, but electrical issues are still present.

We purchased 24 2011 GMC 2500 trucks with omaha utility bodies. About 1 month after putting the units in service we had a failure of the module that operates the rear brake/tail/turn lights. It had no left turn light, and the right turn operated with the turn switch set to left or right. We removed the module (installed by palfleet) from another vehicle and installed it on the one with the problem. That corrected that unit.since that time we have had 6 more units that have failed in a similar manner, but varied lights to include right/left turn and brake lights.with any of these light inoperative, the vehicles are not in compliance with FMVSS 108, or any operational standard.now palfleet wants to sell us new lights to cure the problem.text of their email follows:[xxx], in understanding from ken pitts in service and john pannell in our materials department that some of the multiple service body units we installed a few months back have had electrical issues with the rear taillights specifically, we were hoping to provide you with information. In the early stages of the fsa (Florida sherriff's association for the state of Florida) bid process for these units that dates back to 2010, we worked up the bid price based on the standard light kit package.per my understanding for Ford and Dodge trucks the standard incandescent type bulb/light works properly.in the case of GM trucks, due to a different oem wiring harness and certain electrical amp-draw criteria, the standard incandescent bulb can sometimes overheat causing failure.the recommended correction is to upgrade the two red turn/stop lights to led which, again per my understanding, withstand the heat buildup caused by the GM harness.we will be glad to send you the replacement red lights if you would like to pursue and any of the circuit boards (if needed) at our cost plus ups shipping.the cost would be as shown:red stop/turn light - $18 circuit board - $49 information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
